Outside of Ireland many people think that the only food they eat are potatoes and plain meat but it really isn’t just those two boring foods they live on every day. They may be a part of the staple foods because cool Irish climate and soil conditions proved perfect for growing and harvest potatoes. It is a small but hearty food supply that supports most families going through a hard time with money or just as a cheap alternative to more expensive foods. The main meat that is used is pork (Pig), but also beef is another staple meat that is very accessible since most of Ireland is made up cropland but still have plenty of areas for cattle and other farm animals.
